IFS Online Service Pricing Policy

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is committed to providing high-quality statistical information to its member country constituents around the world. To help achieve this, and to make this data more readily available to transitional and developing countries, the IMF has established a significantly discounted price structure for the IFS Online Service. To view your country classification, please click here.  The discount structure for each region is in the price table shown below. In addition to discounts for transitional and developing countries, there are further reductions for individual users in academic and not-for-profit organizations. The prices for multiple-user electronic subscriptions are shown below.

How to Sign Up


You can subscribe to the IFS Online Service directly through the secure e-commerce web site. For institutional orders, we will require either payment in full by credit card, or payment against an official Purchase Order from your institution. Purchase orders may be faxed to us for expediency. By choosing the invoice option, you will be able to download a copy of the invoice from the Internet. In order to process your order, we will require the information detailed below. This information will be used to validate your personal or institutional subscription price. For institutional orders, we will also require a completed and signed license agreement to be faxed to 202-623-7201 as soon as possible following the registration and ordering process.

  • Customer/institutional name
  • Address — street, city, postal code, country
  • Contact information: name, e-mail, phone, (name of person who is responsible for administration or purchasing of the IFS Online Service)
